Operating System Fundamentals: for Beginners

  • An introduction to the Operating system. We’ll learn what this means and how the operating system works in this lesson, as well.
  • What are the different types of operating systems? What are their goals and what makes them different?
  • Discuss the different types of file systems and how they work. Make the students familiar with the different techniques for allocating and accessing files.
  • Some of the problems with CPU scheduling, as well as the different types of schedulers that are out there.

Requirements:

  • There are no rules. This class is for people who are just starting out.

Description:

Everyone, welcome. In this first lecture, we’re going to talk about how operating systems work. When it comes to computer science, it is very important to have an operating system Even if you teach online, you might teach this subject in your class. In this class, we will learn what this subject is about and how we can use it to learn. As a start, we’ll look at what an operating system is and how it works. We’ll also look at different types of operating systems, the goals they have, and how they work.

In addition, I will talk about file systems, their different concepts, and show the students how to allocate and access files.

Before I do that, I’m going to talk about a lot of different things about CPU scheduling, and then my students will learn more about the different types of schedulers.

In my class, we’ll talk about disk scheduling. You’ll learn about how the characteristics of a disk affect how quickly it works, as well as disk scheduling algorithms and how to manage memory.

Last but not least, in my class, my students will get to know the things I teach.

the problem of deadlocks In this section, we talk about the problem of deadlocks.

and talk about policies that an operating system can use to make sure they don’t happen.

Our study of the evolution of operating systems has led us to figure out what makes bare machines, serial processing, and batch and multiprogramming different from other types of machines. On the basis of their features and design goals, different types of operating systems were defined and characterized in terms of how they schedule and manage memory, devices, and files.

Alright, so let’s start.
